I've only used it a few times, but my skin is super sensitive and overcleansed right now, so its quite inflamed and red always. I've stopped cleansing to give my skin time to recover and rebuild the stratum corneum layer of my skin but man, my skin is always so dry. Moisturizing only does so much and even when applying it multiple times throughout the day my skin can still feel a little tight and dry during this recovery phase. Using this cleansing oil has allowed my skin to remain clean and free of dirt, and when paired with my moisturizer, my skin couldn't be happier. After just a couple of days I've noticed the inflammation decreasing and the chronic dryness subsiding. If you're new to cleansing oils, here's what you need to know: 1) wash your hands, and dry very well, your face and hands both need to be dry before you begin, or else this won't work properly 2) using 2-3 pumps (2 works just fine for me because I don't wear make up) on the palms of your hands, rub your hands together to warm up the oil and spread it evenly 3) gently massage the oil on your face for about 30 seconds (you want it to go into your pores so that it can extract all the "bad" oils and dirt. The oils used in this product are safe and don't clog pores, unlike mineral oil) 4) the most important step, rinse your hands of the oil (maybe even wash them), and leave them wet and massage your face again, the water activates the emulsifiers in the product and you'll begin to see it get kinda white and cloudy (this is good! its the start of the process of removing all of the product you used and that has picked up all the bad oils). Step 4 is almost like cleansing again, without doing this your skin will feel oily and probably won't be fully rid of the bad oils. 5) Do a thorough rinse and pat dry. I also like to moisturize after because my skin is prone to being dry. Hope this helped!

I really like this cleansing oil. It has a nice scent and cleanses my skin without clogging pores and stripping it of natural oils. All the while the organic ingredients are moisturizing my skin. Overall, I’m happy with how clean and soft my skin feels and would definitely recommend.

I'm a huge advocate for double-cleansing. I wish it had been around when I was a teenager. It is a wonderfully nourishing, effective way to break down stubborn layers of makeup, tinted BB creams, and sunscreen with an oil cleanser or oil balm. Rinse with warm water. Then follow with the second step, a gentle cleanser to further wash it away. This is usually done in your PM routine. It isn't necessary to use it in the AM unless you forgot to wash off your SPF and makeup the night before. For user reference, I have mature (over 40), fair, sensitive, acne-prone, congestion-prone, combination skin. Over the years, I've suffered from various severities of acne, including cystic. It is now well-managed with a minimalist skincare routine and adapalene. Still, my sensitive skin will react almost immediately (discoloration, rashes, blistering, rosacea) if it doesn't like something.I mention this because I feel it is important to convey to those with sensitive and or acne-prone skin that oil cleansing, when done with a suitable product, can actually help improve the complexion. Water-based washes don't have the oomph to really break down makeup and SPF the same way oils can. Many of the oils used are skin-suitable (like jojoba) and won't clog pores. I find makeup removers and wipes are wasteful and require more effort and irritation because of the excessive need to rub off the products, especially around the delicate eye area. Cotton rounds and towelettes are wasteful and unnecessary. With this, you take two pumps of the cleansing oil (into dry, clean hands) and massage it onto your dry face. Gently work the oil over your closed lashes and lids if you use eye makeup and rub over the rest of the face for ~30-45 seconds and rinse with lukewarm water. If you haven't tried double-cleansing, I recommend you get a cleansing balm or oil specifically designed to be used for washing. Don't just grab some random oil from the kitchen. Cleansing balms and oils like this URANG Natural Cleansing Oil are designed to emulsify when they come into contact with lukewarm water. This means they become milky and rinse off with little to no residue. Then follow up with your favorite regular cleanser. This is your second step. After, you can do your regular skincare routine (toner, serums, treatments, moisturizers, etc..).Oil cleansers don't have to be expensive or loaded with tons of ingredients. I feel the less the better. The URANG cleansing oil comes in a 5oz clear plastic bottle with a sturdy, suitable pump and costs ~$32 (when I got it). The oil will last you a while, even with regular use, as you only need 2-3 pumps each time you wash. Try 2 to start as 3 may be more than you need. You can always add more if you think you need it. This oil is a straw yellow blend with a hint of citrus (scent) natural to the product. It was gentle enough to use all over my face, eyes, and neck without any irritation. I've used oils in the past which were loaded with essential oils that I couldn't use because they were not suitable to use near the delicate eye area. The URANG didn't cause any problems or result in any sensitivity. It worked well to visibly break down the layers of tinted SPF and mascara. I am extremely pleased with how well this worked and would buy it again.

This cleansing oil has a citrusy scent to it and the consistency is not too thick nor is it too runny and it spreads easily across the face. I have to say that this works better when applied to dry skin so I had to make sure that my palms and face were completely dry before using the oil. I was pretty happy with the removal power of this cleansing oil. I loved the nourishing aspect of this oil as well. The only downside is that it is on the pricier side and I wish it came in a bigger size rather than the 150ml bottle. Overall, I think this would be suitable for those who have dry skin as well as a preference for using skincare that contains natural and organic ingredients.
