I stumbled upon Manyo Factory’s Pure Cleansing Oil entirely by accident – there was a mini size bottle of it for guests to use at a really nice AirBnb I stayed at a while ago, along with various Korean face masks. I was hesitant to use it at first, as I had never used a cleansing oil before and was afraid it would make my highly sensitive combination skin break out, as roughly 75% or more of products that I’ve tried tend to do. But halfway through our stay, I decided to give it a go. It felt so nice to use that I used it again the next few nights, and noticing no breakouts, I took the plunge and ordered the full size.I’ve used all kinds of products to clean off makeup, including facial wipes, micellar water, and cleansing milk. But since using this cleansing oil, I don’t feel like I would go back to those other methods.What I love about Manyo Factory’s cleansing oil is that it takes makeup off so much more thoroughly than any of the other aforementioned methods and still leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated – not stripped and still somewhat unclean, like makeup wipes tend to do (though they are definitely the best “lazy” method). It also has a light citrus scent that’s very pleasant yet not overwhelming. Despite having sensitive eyes that sting with a lot of makeup removers and cleansers, my eyes have never stung when using this cleansing oil to remove eyeshadow, eyeliner, and foundation – but admittedly, I have never tried to use it to remove mascara. My mascara is waterproof, so I still use a waterproof eye makeup remover on a cotton pad if I happen to be wearing mascara. I’m not sure if the cleansing oil would remove it just fine, but I don’t enjoy the idea of having to rub the oil into my lashes and wash them off that way (personal preference).Also, as mentioned, this oil does not make me break out AT ALL, which is always amazing, given how sensitive my skin is. If anything, it has helped to improve my skin because using the cleansing oil in a double cleanse skinscare routine for makeup removal seems to cleanse my skin more thoroughly while still keeping it sufficiently hydrated. I usually follow the cleansing oil with my regular cleanser, but on days when I am makeup free and don’t double cleanse, I have experimented using Manyo Factory’s Cleansing Oil as my only cleanser, and it also works really nicely that way.Since Manyo Factory turned me on to cleansing oils, I have tried a few others, including ones from my favorite high-end clean beauty brands. I purchased this product months ago and to this day still use it. I have acne prone, sensitive, combination skin and this products works wonderful with my rather picky skin. It does a good job removing makeup and does not leave a heavy, oily residue behind (which I really appreciated). So, for those of you out there with acne prone skin, I do recommend this product. How hasn’t this product become more popular!? It’s gentle and moisturizing. It does a great job removing my eye makeup as well. It’s helped simplify my nighttime skincare routine. I like to rub this cleanser onto my face to break down my makeup before I step into the shower and wash it all off. This is a nice first step cleanser. I occasionally use this before I take a shower because I find this step messy at the sink. Gently rub 2 pumps on my face and eyelashes and then in the shower add a little water to hands and gently rub again to remove. Rinse and wash with regular face wash. It does not sting my eyes if it accidentally gets in it. Just blurs my vision. I’m careful to not get this in my eyes. I like the scent (herbally and spa like) but unnecessary in skin care. Even if it is a natural fragrance, it still can cause reactions. I would not purchase again for this reason only (contains fragrance). It has not caused any irritation to my extremely dry, rosacea, eczema skin. Even so, there are oil cleansers that are just as good or better that have no fragrance. With eczema, my skin may one day reject this as it does most things that are scented. I don’t use this every day (I have half bottle left in a year time). I would use more often if it didn’t have fragrance. I’m also sensitive to any fragrance (headache) at times and I’ll skip it on those days. It removes makeup and rinses clean before the second wash. It has a nice slip to it on the skin. I like not having the oil residue left before the second wash. That may be why I’ve had no reactions to it because it breaks up makeup and removes easily with the second wash. Excellent product except for the fragrance. The hada Labo cleansing oil will be my next purchase. I’m going to work to use this up first.

I use this first in my double cleanse by removing all the make up and impurities on my face and that’s followed by a regular cleanser and moisterizer. This is such a better option then using makeup wipes because of all the chemicals in them and not being eco-friendly.

I have used several other cleansing oils, but this product is one of the best. I use this for the usual face wash to remove whiteheads. It barely as scent (which I prefer), and it cleanses whiteheads well. Price is on the lower side of the price range, but the quality is on the upper side.

When I the package some of the cleansing oil had leaked through because the container wasn’t sealed properly. Please package your products better so this doesn’t happen in the future.

this is the only oil cleanser i will use! it’s priced lower than most other cleansing balms or oil-based cleansers, and is even a bit cheaper than the DHC cleansing oil (which this is a great alternative to). I put a pump in the palm of my hand and rub both of my hands together, and apply it gently my whole face and neck (anywhere you applied sunscreen to), then splashing my hands with a tiny bit of water and rubbing my face so it emulsifies the oil which foams gently but a perfect amount. then i’ll rinse it off with water and follow it with water-based cleanser (this step is mandatory!!!) i switch between the cerave hydrating cleanser and purifying foaming cleanser btw. this oil smells AMAZING! my skin is usually not a fan of fragranced products, but i really think the fragrance is from the oils/extracts in the formula, not added fragrance- regardless it smells amazing, caused works fantastic to get sunscreen/spf melted off of my face (i don’t wear makeup so i can’t speak to how well it removes that, but i’ve heard amazing things from friends that i’ve recommended it to!).

I’ve tried most of the popular and frequently recommended oil cleansers – such as DHC, Shiseido, Kose, Innisfree, and Skinfood – but this one is my favorite. It has a subtle and pleasant scent, which I appreciate compared to the more artificial and overbearing fragrances in some oil cleansers. It is a bit more viscous with less slip than the Skinfood Black Sugar oil cleanser, but is equally if not more effective at thoroughly cleansing out my pores. The cleanser rinses off well, and does not leave any sort of film or leave my skin feeling stripped of moisture. This cleanser definitely has a long-term place in my skincare routine.

I’m so satisfied with this product! I decided to purchase this over other cheaper options because I like to take my time with my oil cleansing step and sometimes do a little massage, and I felt that the cheaper cleansing oils I’d been using were not really great for that. This cleansing oil feels wonderful, it’s a little viscous and it definitely has a tea tree scent which is very refreshing and invigorating. My face feels distinctly softer after using this.
